Embracing Australian Packaging Standards for a Better Tomorrow

Our commitment to the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) and the 2025 National Packaging Targets has been a cornerstone of our initiatives. Working with APCO’s guidelines has allowed us to take significant strides in ensuring our packaging is sustainable, reducing unnecessary waste, and promoting environment-friendly solutions. These guidelines are a roadmap for us to ensure that our operational practices avoid causing negative impacts on the environment and contribute positively.

Our Milestones

• Reduction in Raw Materials
  • We have re-engineered our Aspect Professional Power Peel's cardboard packaging. The shift from 27gm to 15gm is set to diminish our cardboard consumption by 138kg annually.
• Making the switch
  • Since 2020, we have successfully replaced 247kg of protective plastic netting around some products with recyclable board.
  • Every single Aspect box is crafted using eco-conscious Forestry Stewardship Council certified board. Plus, we made the switch to vegetable-based inks, waving goodbye to traditional petroleum-based inks.
  • Our 100ml Aspect vessels transitioned from non-recyclable virgin plastic materials to PP recyclable plastic containing 50% recycled content.
  • In October 2023, we made the decision to cease supply of plastic sample pots and pipettes. We continue to investigate alternative options, made from recyclable materials. 
• Aiding in Recovery
  • Our 220ml Illuminating Polish and Purastat 5 bottles now consist of 25% Ocean Waste Plastic (OWP) contributing to the recovery and use of an astounding 497kg of oceanic plastic waste annually.
